As expected, the Red Sox activated closer Joel Hanrahan from the 15-day disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays in Toronto. Boston had previously optioned reliever Daniel Bard to Double-A Portland following Sunday’s victory to make room for Hanrahan on the 25-man roster.
