Jim Adduci persevered for nine-plus seasons in the minor leagues before the Texas Rangers recalled the Burnaby, B.C.-born outfielder on Sept. 1. His reward is being thrown into a playoff race and, not only is he contributing to victories, he’s soaking up the experience.
