Boston Red Sox catcher David Ross spent much of the summer on the disabled list with a concussion. He hit .270 in the final 5 1/2 weeks of the regular season and was 1-for-9 in the World Series before his fifth-inning single Monday night that preceded a seventh-inning, tiebreaking double.
